The Xbox 360 Anti-Gravity Action Sports High School Tour Visits Orlando Area High Schools in Support of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids
LOS ANGELES (November 5, 2008) - On Tuesday, November 11th, ASA Entertainment's (ASA) Xbox 360 Anti-Gravity Tour, an action sports mobile demonstration unit, visits the greater Orlando Area in support of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids with stops at local high schools in the surrounding cities. For the past decade ASA, the industry's leading action sports event and television producer, has supported the Campaign, touring the country with its action sports mobile unit, and this year will visit California's Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Atlanta and Orlando with the Xbox 360 Anti-Gravity Tour.
Each high school participating in the Tour will be entertained by five professional skateboarding, BMX and inline skating athletes showcasing their talents on a half-pipe during an all-campus assembly that will promote the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids message. At present, the Tour will stop at Melbourne's Melbourne High School on Tuesday, November 11th, Pine Ridge High School in Deltona on Wednesday the 12th, and University High School in Orlando on Friday the 14th.
International as well as domestic action sports pros will perform on the Tour this year, including: skateboarders Danny Mayer (Omaha, Nebraska), Adam Taylor (Cocoa Beach, Florida), Phil Hajal (Gainesville, Florida), and Alex Perelson (San Diego, California); BMX athletes Austin Coleman (Los Angeles, California), Trevor Meyer (Little Rock, Arkansas), Koji Kraft (Addison, Illinois), Gabe Weed (Walnut Creek, California), Dave Voelker (Lakeside, California), Jim Burgess (Phoenix, Arizona), and Jeremy Fanberg (Greenville, North Carolina); and inline skaters Shane Yost (Tasmania, Australia), Fabiola da Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Marc Englehart (Lansdale, Pennsylvania), and Marco Desanti (Sao Paulo, Brazil).
In addition to presenting a captivating demonstration, the athletes will also interact with the students in a peer-to-peer setting, signing autographs and answering questions while the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids message is communicated through PA's, post cards and brochures, and promotional activities. Students will also be able to test new Xbox 360 games in the interactive booths that will be on display.
Highlights from the Xbox 360 Anti-Gravity Tour will be included in ASA Entertainment programming on various networks later this year. Stay tuned to actionsportstour.com for broadcast details.
