ASA Entertainment Reaches One Million Kids with the 10th Anniversary of the ASA Action Sports High School Tour in Support of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids

LOS ANGELES (March 17, 2009) - ASA Entertainment (ASA), the leader in action sports event production, is excited to announce that with the launch of their 2009 ASA High School Tour it will celebrate 10 years of support for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Since 2000, ASA has traveled the country visiting high schools with a mobile action sports tour, featuring top skateboarding, BMX and inline skating pros performing unimaginable tricks on a portable half-pipe during on campus assemblies, while disseminating an important anti-tobacco cause message through announcements, trivia questions, brochures and attention grabbing performances. The riders and Tour staff educate students about the dangers of tobacco use, the risks associated with second-hand smoke and ways to combat the pressure to start smoking. In 2009 the ASA High School Tour will reach its 1,000,000th student with this Tour and its critical message.

"We are so pleased to make such a positive impact on students throughout the country with this tour", said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment. "Tobacco prevention is an issue near-and-dear to everyone at ASA and we are grateful to all the schools, sponsors, staff and athletes during the past 10 years who have helped us reach this milestone and spread this important message."

In celebration of the Tour's anniversary and expansive reach, the ASA High School Tour will visit 79 schools across the U.S. in 2009. From March 23rd - May 1st, the Tour's spring circuit will visit 29 high schools in some of the largest markets in the center of the country. The cities it will visit this Spring include:

March 30 - April 3 Dallas, TX

April 20 - 24 Indianapolis, IN
April 27 - May 1 Chicago, IL

The U.S. Marines and Retaks Lifestyle Backpacks support the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids by partnering with ASA for the Spring Tour.

During the Fall, from September 14th through December 4th, the Tour will visit:

Some of the industry's notable X Games and Action Sports World Championships stars such as Koji Kraft (Chicago, Illinois), Anthony Furlong (Tampa, Florida), Marc Englehart (Lansdale, Pennsylvania), Jay Eggleston (Denver, CO), Austin Coleman (Los Angeles, CA) and Trevor Meyer (St. Park, Minnesota) will perform on the Spring tour. They will not only provide eye-catching, energy-filled performances, but their presence will also offer a unique opportunity for peer-to-peer interaction between the athletes and students. Students can obtain pictures and autographs during these sessions and talk to the athletes about staying tobacco-free.

In January, the National Sports Forum recognized the High School Tour by honoring it as one of the top three marketing ideas of 2008 in their SAMMY Awards (Sales, Advertising, Marketing, Management idea of the Year) competition.
