Profile:

Sandro was eleven years old when he and a friend rigged a tire to an old skateboard and took turns pushing each other down a hill, it was later that year that his dad bought him his first skateboard. Sandro made the difficult decision to move from his hometown of Santo Andre, Brazil to Santa Ana, California to pursue a career in skateboarding. The sacrifices have been more than worth it. Sandro finished the 2003 and 2004 seasons ranked #1 in the World Cup Skateboarding world rankings after he exploded on the competition circuit, picking up many gold medals, including the Latin X Games and the coveted Slam City Jam in Vancouver. Sandro's death-defying ramp antics make him one of the most memorable riders to watch. He combines an uncanny ability to blast out of the ramp, spin more variations of 540 than anyone else, and maintain his intense amplitude for entire runs. His peers respect his intensity on the ramp and easy-going nature off of it. Sandro has become the most consistent skater to pull off the elusive 900 spin since 2004 when he made skateboarding history by landing the first ever 900 in a contest run that earned him the LG World Championship title.
